I have ordered twice now from Rockwall Bakery and BOTH times have been sorely disappointed. The first time I order was in June 08. The cake was not there when I went to pick it up, they gave it to anoher customer, then tried to find it, once found the decorations were 50th wedding anniversary decorations instead of western birthday decorations, which multiple emails specificed! They have really cute cakes...look at the ones in the window! I got one for my mom for her 50th birthday and it was way cute and really good! They designed it for me and everything!
I heard from several people that the cupcakes here are the best you can get anywhere. I love the "other place's" cupcakes so I thought, yeah right. I tried the plain ol' vanilla and was so impressed. It was so moist and light. The buttercream was to die for! They are all decorated so cute too. I went back later and had the Lemon Cheesecake flavor and thought I had died and gone to heaven. I'll never drive anywhere else for cupcakes again!!!
I was in the mood for sweets one day and saw this little shop on the square and decided to stop in, am I glad I did!!! I've never tasted cupcakes this good in my life. Rockwall Cake Factory is my new guilty pleasure!! All the different flavors (they have A LOT!) are incredible and the service is impeccable. I love the Elvis Presly and the Apple Pie cupcakes! Bought an 8' round cake - nothing special. Ordered white chocolate with chocolate mousse as the filling & received a white cake with buttercream icing as the filling. Cost $75.00, the cake was moist and very good but it was not what I ordered, I am sure I would have been able to get the same thing at Tom Thumb for $15.00.
