I came here in 2022 when I was just 11 years old, and it was a nice experience the staff was super chill and they kids were mostly nice. Though I remember when they let in a kid from Juvy and it was frightening, they didn’t keep a close eye on him, and he attacked one of the staff members leaving him hospitalized. My son was sent here from Four Winds Katonah! My son was at Four Winds for several weeks. I couldn't have visits because they said they couldn't regulate him. Since he has been at Rockland he was only been restrained once! Since then staff have told me he regulates himself! Have had a couple of visits and phone calls daily! Amanda the Social worker is Amazing! Our son said the staff help him a lot! I can't wait until he is able to return home and Rockland is making that possible!

My daughter was sent there in 2012 and suffered a severe head beating. Because they wanted the money, they refused to let her out. I had to go into an emergency meeting and argue acutely for her release, which they finally allowed. NIGHTMARE. Very unsafe.
