people need to understand urgent care is one off emergency, not for getting prescriptions or booboos
They turned away my 7 month old baby who was not eating or drinking due to throat infection, GPs closed, not life threatening for ED, and triage nurse said “we are at capacity, try somewhere else”
Don't go unless you are at a pain scale of 10. You will just get pushed to the bottom of the list and people limping or who need a script filled will warrant over a child with a swollen eye who isn't in any pain. Waiting for 3 hours and people who get there "in pain" are seen within 5 minutes. I was told by the video call telehealth dr to go to urgent care to get my child's eye looked at to make sure his eyeball isn't in any danger but just kept getting pushed to the bottom of the list. Have been excellent on many occasions and care for their patients. Staff at urgent care are amazing.
Worst 3 and a half hours ever! Had very bad medical issues and had chronic pain. After all the time waiting (so much for urgent care), the doctor gave me script for panadol. I should of went to emergency instead of driving to another suburb. This is a lazy excuse by the government for fixing the health crisis in WA. The urgent care was one doctor.
