I hate to say it, but there are a few vacation rental listings in Rocakaway Beach on Craiglists that are scams! Stay away from Rosita Property, an address of 104 S. 2nd Ave, and Rosita Buffington, as well as any property under $200! Many people have have not only money, but time stolen from them! I recommend to family and friends to stay away from Rockaway Beach property rentals - it's too difficult to know who is real and who is not! Be forewarned!

At the edge of the Wayside, this is the heart of Rockaway Beach. The Oregon Coast Scenic Rail Road stops here, and it’s THE place to watch the sun set or the 4th of July fireworks.

Beautiful area and very down to earth folks. Nice people and always friendly. Loved it so much we just moved here! Excited to get involved in the community as a business and family.
A bare bones beach burg strategically sited halfway between Cannon Beach and Cape Meares. Pretty much nothing but beach, with low rise hotels and a couple ice cream shops squeezed between 101 and the coastal range. The primordial Twin Rocks formation energizes the horizon. Best viewed midwinter when 20+ foot seas regularly rise, crash and howl. People seem to like it in the summer, too. If nothing but beach sounds good to you, this is the right place. And the folks at the Chamber are very nice and helpful.
