We use Rock Island at two locations, one is fiber connection and the other is wireless (broadcast or whatever the term of art is). Rock Island has assigned an IP address registered in a different city (sometimes Sacramento sometimes Spokane) which screws things up with certain services, like YouTube TV (I am currently NOT able to watch the World Cup because of this). Extremely overpriced Internet Services with speeds that are a joke for the price. Why would I pay $80 for what is essentially rebranded T-Mobile Home Internet that is capped at 50 Mbps with a modem that looks like it is from 2003? I can easily just go to any T-Mobile Store and get the same exact service but pay $40 which is half the cost of this junk, and get speeds of over 500 Mbps. Seriously, if you live in Friday Harbor, just go to the T-Mobile Store in Burlington or Bellingham and give them any address that isn't in Frid... read more
Horrid customer service. Been using RockIsland internet for almost 10 years. Used to be very good. Now bad. Internet is out. Call for service. No que ahead. Put on hold 30 min later, no call. It is 9:30 AM. Going to call again, then go to Board of Directors.
Poorly educated staff. Next to no help in resolving near constant internet issues. Would definitely never recommend to anyone looking for internet services. Ever.
Constant outages never actually get what I pay for customer service is horrible. Never get anybody on the line. They can actually do anything other than say unplugged my Internet, and plug it back in.
