To Whom It May Concern, We moved into our new Rochester Heritage home in May of this year and there have been several issues. To begin with, whoever does the drywall does a horrible job! Our contractor had to do a lot of touchups and there are still so many issues with bumps and dents and corners are a mess! We aren’t even able to paint until those issues are complete. Our home has many issues from a wall that is 2 inches out of plum to back dook leaking so much water when it rains we have to have towels down. Live wires in the walls that went nowhere. Hump in roof that is not sure if it is a Truss issue. Tried working with Rochester with no luck even thought it is clearly an issue from when they built the house and we no longer work with the authorized dealer. We have more issue than this.
I would give Rochester 5 stars but the choice of a dealer they have in western Michigan gets only 3 stars. Rochester makes an excellent custom built home. I strongly advise that you, 1. make sure to get an attorney to approve your contract to buy and install BEFORE you sign. 2. Make sure you have a lender who will read and make sure periodic payment requests to the licensed builder are acceptable. Rochester Homes did a great job from start to finish.
Beware of your contractor. Back check your builder before signing any papers. Our contractor will not return calls or text. House has been on foundation since Dec 3 now Feb 3 not even close to moving in yet. Siding not completely installed. Carpet yet to be laid. Interior dry wall yet to be completed. Weeks go by with little if anything being done. Furnace located in wrong location. Contractor doesn't seem to care.
