I am a monocular patient who was almost blind in my 'good eye' because of an acute cataract. Repairing the cataract was a complex and risky endeavor because of severe astigmatism in that eye. The situation was exacerbated because a bad outcome could have left me completely blind. I feel comfortable that I am receiving the best eye care that exists. As an old person who comes from a family with eye issues this is indicative of superb care. None of the doctors I saw seemed rushed—I felt that any questions I had or information I wanted would be answered completely without regard to how much time it took. I’m so lucky to be a patient here.
DR. Pineda is the first specialist I have seen who has been able to treat my ICE syndrome. He operated in August in a 3-part procedure (cornea transplant, cataract, pupil alignment) and completed a keratectomy this week. All went well.
Dr Pineda was so kind, patient and such a good listener. He answered all my questions with respect, and obvious knowledge of cataract issues. He truly allayed many of my concerns .. His old- fashioned “ bedside manner” is not often found in many medical settings these days . ! .

A wonderfully talented doctor, he listens carefully to his patients, examines eyes skillfully, all while quietly and thoughtfully instructing a fellow who learns from him. Dr. Pineda thinks carefully about solutions to solve problems. His knowledge is broad based and his ability to think outside the box knows no limits. He, and his team, and his office staff are amazing.
As always (over 10 years), my recent experience with Dr. Pineda, was excellent. His knowledge and insights as well as his demeanor and professionalism have always been exceptional. In his examinations, you’ll find he answers the important questions that you wish you had remembered to ask!

In an extremely busy office Dr. Pineda provided thorough explanations as the examination progressed and took as much time as needed to answer questions that I had after the examination was complete.
