Very unhappy. No tests were done and no follow up scheduled.The office staff is very uncaring and standoffish. Very uncomfortable atmosphere.
Had a procedure done by Dr. Shapiro. I really like him as both a doctor & a person. He definitely seems to care about my health and it isn't as obvious with some doctors. The only negatives are: some of the support staff could use a little better "bedside manner" and it's difficult to contact him if you have an additional question. I recommend that you prepare all of your questions prior to seeing him so that you don't have followup questions, if possible. Will keep this doctor, for sure.
They really made a huge mistake. Booked an appt and did not bother to ask my new insurance info. Then they call back the day before the appt and ask, and I find out they do not take the new Ambetter. Wasted days waiting. I am in pain, now I have to find a new doc. Go elsewhere!
Excellent surgeon. Knowledgeable, patient and empathetic. Recommend without reservation.
I would not be alive today if it was not for Dr. Shapiro. He provided me with the best care possible. I could not have asked for a better doctor. His back office assistant Cathy always took good care of me. I was told he was one of the best surgeons in Arizona and he is as far as I am concerned.
I had a vasectomy last year. Dr Shapiro did not remind or encourage me to ask my wife to be there for any of the visits or the procedure. Nor did he give me a copy of the paperwork to look over myself or with my wife. Had they done those things I wouldn't have made this mistake. A few months after the procedure I called about a reversal but was treated rudely by his office manager. I do not recommend this doctor at all. I don't feel he or his staff care about the patient at all.
Him and his nurse Cathy are the best they,re funny and kind they help you feel at ease when your nervous.
