Brought our poor baby Ted here because he had been missing since 4/19 and when we found him on 4/28 he had suffered a bite to the neck that needed immediate attention. Staff said it was a dog bite, got two shots to treat it, and that his wheezing in his breathing was normal due to the trauma in his neck.HOWEVER, It was only until we took him to Palm Valley to be euthanised on 4/29 because he developed Edema, we were told the “bite” was actually two snake fangs.. the venom had been shutting down his body since 4/28. The staff was professional and helpful. I would recommend going there with your pet.
I brought in my one year old labrador to the hospital. I waited a week to get him in. He has been lethargic and has to be coaxed into eating. Both very unusual for the age and breed. My 14 year old labrador is happier! He didn't have a temperature but his blood screen showed slightly elevated white blood cells which i was told was normal. However, the blood screen doesn't test for infections or diseases. My concerns were dismissed. I took him home and the pup spit out a bite of chicken! What dog spits out chicken! Staff was professional, caring, friendly and very responsive. Very impressed with Dr Ramos - we are very particular about the care for our dog Champ and I would highly recommend Nolana Animal Hospital for your veterinary services!
