My sons Neurologist ordered 400 mg Tegretol BID, which he had been on for over 20 years with complete seizure control. After seeing my son for only a year Morton decreased his Tegretol to 400 mg daily! Mind you he still sees his Neurologist. So, in my opinion Morton should not have changed a medication he did not initiate. In addition he did not order bloodwork to check his levels after decreasing his dosage. Poor medical practice!!
