If you want to feel like your pain means nothing and bodily autonomy is a joke, going to a pain clinic seems like a good start. They will tell you why you hurt, but if the solutions they offer seem too invasive or have already caused harm before then you won’t get anywhere but more uncomfortable from hard chairs and the extra stress of having to wait around.
I came for my three month visit for pain management and first follow up visit after breaking my back ThePA who saw me ( I guess I wasn’t important enough for the real doctor) seemed uninterested when I asked for some pain medicine to get me through to my operation.
