This was absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctor. I have had severe neck pain and migraines for over eight months. I had to wait several of weeks just to get in which I was excited to finally get a solution to get back to my normal life. The doctor was a jerk and told me to take naproxen twice a day and stretch. However his assistant was very nice that talked to me before he came in and was suggesting two different options for injections. Dr. Gewirtz was great. At my first appointment he explained everything to me and confirmed that I would definitely need surgery. The day of the surgery he was very polite and he explained everything to my family and answered any questions that they had. He didn’t make us feel rushed or like we were asking dumb questions. My follow up visit was great too! If I was ever to recommend a neurosurgeon to anyone it would be him! His team and him made my first ever surgery experience great!
Way too agressive. Turned my high functioning, able bodies mom into practically a vegetable. Death would have been less cruel. Update, my mom passed away largely due to the aggressive treatment.
