We were in town for a football game. The location is excellent. Midway between the stadium and the academy. Bed was comfortable. A/C worked fine. The response to txt messages were immediate. The biggest negative issue was the bathroom. The shower curtain/shower smelled overwhelming horrible. The TV was not HD. Been so long since I was looking at 720p. But didn’t spend much time watching. They did not adequately restock the Keurig machine, although they had coffee in the lobby. Fix the bathroom smell, and I’d be back.

My wife and I stayed in a 2nd floor room at the Robert Johnson House in Annapolis this past weekend. Location is excellent; right across the street from the capital building. We checked in at the Governor Calvert House over an hour early and our room was ready, which was very nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The Robert Johnson House is just on the opposite side of the Calvert House, an easy 3 min walk. Inside of the building was cozy, historic and beautiful. My room at the Robert Johnson Historical Inn was okay, but the main issue was the air conditioning. The unit never really worked properly during my stay. I reported it to the front desk, and while maintenance came by a few times, the fix never lasted. At best, it would cool down to about 70 degrees, but by the middle of the night it was back up to 73 and uncomfortable. For the price and reputation of the inn, I expected better follow-through.
