When I was first diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, I did follow-up with him at his office. I was terrified to learn I had such a serious heart condition and needed information. I tearfully asked for "a one-in-a-million chance of hope for my future". As he cracked his neck sitting at a desk, not looking at me, then coldly responded: "I don't deal in one-in-a-million chances of hope". I left that visit alone, dazed and confused. I will NEVER forget those horrible words. I never go to doctor visits alone anymore.
