I found Dr. Bohinski to be a great surgeon. He took time to listen & was very caring.
Surgery for lumbar spine stenosis
My Neck was in such bad shape that other Neurosurgeons would not risk the surgery to fix it. Dr. Bohinski discussed all the risks along with the benefits. He did a 5 level fusion of my cervical spine. His expertise in difficult cases is unsurpassed in NKY and Cinci. I am so much better because of his skills and willingness to help me. My only complaint is that I did not see him after surgery, only the Nurse Practioner from the office came by daily. I really wanted to speak to him but did not get a chance until weeks later at... read more
Tried for over two months but unable to get an appointment. Talked to several people who, in my opinion, were not concerned about my condition but very concerned about the company “process”.
I am a primary care physician and geriatrician. I have cared for many chronic back patients both with and without surgical options. I have interacted with numerous back surgeons over the last 25 years. My mother who has significant scoliosis /chronic back and radicular pain came to see Dr. Bohinski for a third opinion. She was losing her ability to function independently, and her previous 2 surgeons have given radically differing opinions. I would give him 6 stars if I was able. RWH MD FACP
I went to see him 14 years ago--I had him remove a cavernoma and a Chiari 1 Malformation. I'm still bitter. Lol. People told me he was best. Well he was not. He was so insensitive during appointments, and during the "removal" of my cavernoma (he left a bit and it grew back and I had to have it removed again a couple years ago) I woke up unable to walk, talk or use my right side at all. Thankfully I can walk and talk but my right side is far less mobil. Next time I picked a different doc..
This man is amazing! He fixed my back and I am so thankful! Everything about the process was wonderful and with ease!
I thought his staff was terribly rude! My best advise is you can find the best doctor with the best staff and I can say that because I have. Don't settle on mayfield- because you deal with the staff more than the doctor- definitely keep your options open. Lots in Cincinnati to choose from!
Excellent surgeon and a very nice person. Well worth the wait. Thanks to Dr. Bohinski's skill and expertise I am pain free and the numbness is gone. A god send!
