I was shocked to read the other reviews because I thought Dr. Black was wonderful, very caring, very deliberate in the exam he gave me, and very helpful in every way. I have seen him three times and would give him the highest marks.
I found Dr Black to be a egotistical doctor who In my case just couldn't admit he made a mistake. My experience with him was a nightmare. I went for an eye exam which he charged $258 PLUS he charged $89 for a contact fitting in addition to the exam in which they make certain to collect up front because they know insurance does not pay for contact fittings. I went to this doctor after brain surgery in hopes of improving my vision. It was an important moment for me. When faced with brain cancer and facial paralysis, you seek a doctor who listens and empathizes. Unfortunately, he did neither. He is rude and not patient-centered. I will not return.
