Diagnosed my rare, degenerative, always fatal disease with thorough testing and a most compassionate attitude. Told me the truth. A lot of us in Galveston were sad to see him go (he had a secret fan club), but he moved to the Houston Methodist Neurology clinic--a great move for him, to a strongly supportive institution where he can continue his NSF and NIH research. Clone this doctor!
Dr. Smith talked a good game about how he would help me. His plans for special testing to find cause and possible treatment never materialized. For unknown reason he was stringing me along and had no intention of doing tests or finding illness cause. The ofc. kept telling me he would order tests, but he never did. I wasted several months waiting on help from him, help that never came.
Good doctor but excessive waiting.
