Dr Gillespie did both shoulder replacements. Recovery was easier than I expected. I would recommend him to anyone who needs shoulder surgery. Nelly is a wonderful right hand woman. Addresses ANY issue or questions you have.
Dr. Gillespie and Nellie, NP are both personable, but wouldn’t recommend if you have snapping scapula syndrome. They performed a bursectomy; ineffective; was told post-surgery/after four months of PT and worse pain than before surgery, that I was going to have to “learn to live with it.” A comment no medical provider should say, especially to a 25 y.o. If you have snapping scapula syndrome, contact the Steadman Clinic-they are experts in treating this condition.
Office staff is BEYOND HORRIBLE! They don't call up back. They screw up the scheduling. NP Nellie is terrible!
Excellent doctor and staff. Takes time to talk with patients and understand what is going on. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Excellent surgeon, and human being. I had a hemi-shoulder replacement in 2015, and he was phenomenal! Took care of all of my pain management needs. My husband likes him so much, he had Dr G fix a torn tendon in his elbow. (Which was diagnosed incorrectly by another dr.) don’t hesitate if you need shoulder or elbow help. He is the master! Thank you again Dr Gillespie-my husbands elbow and my shoulder are still doing great 6 years later!
