I have been with Dr. Powell twice for treatment. A dedicated professional that gives the very best care to patients according to my own experience. A true gentleman.

I do NOT recommend Dr. Powell to ANYONE!!!! I had a very bad and very EXPENSIVE experience with this dentist & if I had not been so upset & a stronger person I would have sued him for all he has. I had to go to another very GOOD dentist, Dr. Phillips, to have Dr. Powell's work corrected and reworked. Total cost to do what I first paid $18K for was $25K ! I am NOT SURE I really needed the extent to which Dr. Powell went in the first place. I don't know if he is this way with others but BE AWARE

I wrote 4 letters asking for an explanation of charges and never received a response until I sent a certified letter. I was told by the office manager they didn't get the earlier letters or that someone in the office must've thrown them away. If you are given an NTI and it hurts, insist that they reconfigure it until they get it right (or don't agree to it in the first place). I was told that the pain I was experiencing I would get used to. It changed my bite and created a gap in my teeth,

THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD! Dr Powell's office is the Best in Asheville,and anywhere I have ever been.NO waiting and very good care.I had two fillings (composite) done today and there's NO PAIN 5 hours later,I am very excited about getting the rest of my teeth done at this office.I have never been treated so kind in any doctors office and they listened to my fears and what I had to say.I have an rational fear of dentist due to a "childhood memory" and I have feared dentist all my life and generally try to avoid them as much as p... read more

Refreshing no pressure dentistry From my first visit to Dr Powell's, I was impressed with the entire experience. It was especially refreshing to work with a dentist that listened to my needs and put together my oral care plan with me without pressure or time lines. I also appreciated the education on preventive care for my teeth and gum's. I would recommend Dr Powell to anyone looking for quality dental care with a dentist who takes your needs into consideration.

BEST IN TOWN--HANDS DOWN! Dr. Powell is the best dentist in Asheville, hands down! I have gone to him for 36 years and due to the excellent care I have received, I have never had one cavity, never had a root canal, never had a crown. He runs a state of the art practice and is extremely knowledgable. He does not charge much more than other dentists, and in my opinion...YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET! Dr. Powell is an excellent dentist and a wonderful human being. I have always been picky about my dentists, so finding the very talented Dr. Powell after moving to Asheville, was lucky! His Cerac work is excellent and I plan on getting my smile makeover from Dr. Powell soon. Give his office (always warm and welcoming) a call. You won't be dissapointed. My husband and I are very pleased!

I just had my first CEREC - WOW!! Dr. Powell and his team are amazing.. I had no idea dentistry had advanced that much. Dr. Powell was great.. he let me watch while he designed my CEREC. I can't believe it - a whole new tooth in an hour. Last time I went to the dentist that took three weeks..

First Appointment I just had my first appointment at Asheville Dental Care. I had no idea that a dental apointment was supposed to be like that. I got a tour of the office (which was really interesting) introduced to everyone. Most important I really got a chance to talk to Dr. Powell - he is really nice, knowledgeable and fun to talk with!
