He wrote my partner off basically when he presented with severe abdominal pain. We suspected appendicitis, he said nope. He had an enlarged appendix and said he’d check again in a few months. He mentioned he’s seen appendiceal cancer and perfectly healthy people have died from it. Why would you say that? After all that, he basically refused to remove the appendix. Dr. Patel is excellent, had a great experience. Very knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly. The procedure went really well and I had no scarring at all. Very happy with results!

Dr Burnikel is an exceptional Orthpedic Surgeon! From the time I first saw him two plus years ago I felt he and his staff were patient centered and there to help me. I received steroid shots for several years until they were no longer effective. Dr Burnikel never rushed me into surgery as other orthopedic surgeons had—“when you’re ready for surgery, come back to see me.”(this was my second knee replacement). Never available. He mostly works hospital and only in office 1 day a wk per location. It took months to be seen after established and about 6 mos for procedures. He uses PA or NP for all problems addressed between visits instead of himself. Not optimal for patients with GI diseases. I transferred to Cohen after yrs of diagnosed Crohn’s and other GI disease. Dr. Kevan is amazing!
I was a patient of Dr. Twedt's during the summer of 2021. In my late 2nd trimester, Dr. Twedt wanted to discuss the not-yet-FDA-approved Coronavirus vaccine with me. I expressed my hesitancy to which she responded with 'if you get corona, you and your baby could likely die' as she pressured me to get the vaccine. She was absolutely terrible in how she spoke to me, a first time mom during Covid, and I was in tears after leaving the appointment.
Dr. Ford is very down to earth, patient in explaining everything about your condition. Also, if surgery is indicated he goes to extra lengths to make sure that you are informed and prepared for the surgery. Dr. Ford has had two knee replacements himself so he can speak with authority about all aspects of preparation, surgery, outcome and recovery.
Very disappointed in the care I received by this Dr. Her team was amazing. She never spoke to me prior to procedure. After that shot I got little to no relief. The shot itself hurt so bad. I had to wait two weeks to receive another shot. At the time I requested a new dr on the team. This dr talked with me explaining everything an how the shot could help. Once he done the shot never hurt. Next day my pain was from a 11 to 1 I feel amazing please find a Dr you trust a will take time with you .
