I have been a very satisfied patient of Ship Maitre for many years. His attention to dental detail and preservation of my teeth is greatly appreciated. I have really enjoyed the professional care and kindness by Dr. Maitre and his staff at his new office!
This review is for the new office. Though I like Ship as a dentist, I don't like the new office or the way it's being run. There's a really condescending and inept woman with black frame glasses who works at the front desk who charged me for my free cleaning. She said over the phone she would give me a refund when I called her out but I still haven't received it. She said I was on her list to refund. This was one of the best dental experiences I've had. I was terrified of having an implant and have heard horror stories about the process. Dr. Ship and his assistant made it pleasant and as painless as possible. I've finally found a dentist, since moving back to Mobile.
Dr. Shipp has been my dentist since 2017. I had breast cancer and had completed chemo and radiation. My mouth had a rough time. I thought my only option was dentures, but he took the time to listen and showed me my teeth could be saved. He not only gave me back my smile, but my confidence also. He is a kind, compassionate and professional doctor. I totally trust him.
