I am a patient of dr. Pearlman’s. I found this doctor very focused and thorough. He treated me for macular degeneration and resolved the problem quickly. He has great personality, he listens to the patient and explains everything. Let me say he exudes confidence. I also found his staff very efficient and pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend dr. Pearlman to anybody with retinal issues.
Dr. Pearlman and his office is such a scam. I was referred to him by my ophthalmologist (which was referred from my PCP) because I need emergency surgery for retinal detachment. The nurse from ophthalmologist had made an appointment for me with this doctor and gave them all my insurance information and everything was supposed to be ready for the surgery for Monday. The staff is much more concerned with paperwork than with patient well-being. As a result, I missed my monthly injection for macular degeneration because referral codes were a priority, not my eyesight. I never saw Dr. Pearlman, and he was apparently much too busy to react to a message I left with his answering service. I would not trust this practice with my eye care, particularly with a disease that could cost me my eyesight if not treated correctly.
