I was a patient of this man in the 2000s. Not only did he misdiagnose me, but also ignored the abuse that was happening in front of him and contribute to it himself. He is one of many contributing factors to my continued cptsd, a diagnosis he now ironically specializes in. Went for support during a divorce. Dr. Cohen also uses a therapy wiener dog, Mr. Wilson. I felt like he was a father to me and he gave me confidence to feel the right feelings about not tolerating bad behaviors from my now ex husband.
This review is long overdue. Dr. Cohen is a caring, thoughtful and experienced therapist. Trustworthy and compassionate I felt comfortable talking with him. He was able to help me navigate several stressful situations and complex relationships. He also gave me great advice and guidance navigating difficult conversations with family members. He helped me learn strategies to establish better boundaries which have allowed me to transform into a better version of myself. I highly recommend him!
Excellent experience. Very professional, non-judgmental, empathetic and honest.
