I've had Dr Ayer as my Neurosurgeon since 2017. I needed surgery and was referred to Dr Ayer by a Physical Therapist. I had a successful back surgery!! In 2019 I was in a horrible accident that brought me back to Dr. Ayer and had 2 more back surgeries in 2021. Now in 2023, my spinal cord constricted so nerves to the point I couldn't walk. Never fear, Dr Ayer was near. I needed surgery, if I was ever going to walk with no pain. My surgery was extensive and took 7.5 hours but was a success!!! I had lumbar surgery at the end of June 2020, during the height of the Corona Virus panic. No one was allowed to visit me, so I had zero patient advocate. I was in the hospital alone for 8 days - in excruciating pain. The pain was in both hips, legs, feet, and from mid-back down. Prior to surgery it had only been on the left side.
