Getting conflicting reports as I stated above and being told different things by different people from the office and the surgeon leaving messages. Told her I could do one thing and then found out today. I could not do what they had originally told me I could do. Very frustrated With them. I want to be well enough to heal to get out of a neck brace, but I feel like that no One is giving me any answers. I have not seen a doctor yet only a PA and someone else. As I stated it’s been 13 weeks.
Dr. Ulm is an exceptional physician who truly cares for his patients as if they were family. He is highly professional, knowledgeable, and patient, always taking the time to listen and provide the best treatment options. Dr. Ulm’s approach is compassionate and sincere—he is not driven by financial gain but by a genuine desire to help his patients. I would confidently recommend him to anyone seeking quality medical care.
My review is less posiive than those above.I never met Dr Ulm before or after the surgery. In fact , I had surgery and afterwards received a Cigna EOB that said the surgery was not aproved. I called their business office. The first lady I spoke to wanted to know the problem. I said my surgery had not been approved. She did not want me to talk to the business manager.I was provoked by her attitude. So I told her that was fine because I am not paying it, you deal with it. I was immediately then transferred to the business offi... read more
You'll never meet a more condescending man or staff. If you have doubts about a procedure, he'll make you feel worst. I have no confidence in him. Trust me when I say, he doesn't know how to be or treat anyone like a human being. No respect. And he's trained his staff to treat you the same way. I'd make sure he is not at the hospital you're going because you'll wish you hadn't. You're better off charming snakes or running barefoot across hot coals. A stick in the eye is a pleasure compared to this creature. No couth, No empa... read more
I’m a musician for a career who had trigeminal neuralgia. I had MVD by dr Mericle Oct 2021 and have been completely cured since and am so grateful. Unfortunately my hearing on my surgery side is very much damaged. I was told under 1% chance of hearing loss. I now know that was a lie because the office never has asked me about my symptoms in the 2 1/2 years out of surgery, so how do they know the numbers? I have spoken to other patients of his, some also have hearing loss, some don’t. I do think he’s great but I also think th... read more
After what I consider a failure by Vanderbilt's neurology team, I had an aneurysm in the pons area of my brain, the day after Christmas, December 26, 2016. I was taken by ambulance from Springfield to Skyline Hospital, unconscious of course, where as I gather a team of specialists were called in, including Dr. Franklin. It's a rather lengthy story, but I'll just say that he did without issue what Vanderbilt's neurologists couldn't quite figure out to do, while essentially performing the same procedure (angiogram). Dr. Frankl... read more
Dr Ulm and his great staff are the best ever…I would drive across country, if I needed to, to get to him.
After my surgery i have never been able walk again or use my left hand. My sight and hearing finally came back. The Hospital was the worst I've seen. I still can not eat solid foods, can not swallow. My life went from really bad to worse. Im so dizzy i cant work and am financially ruined. After the surgery they don't seem to care. I recently had another MRI done. Having not heard a word. Now i wished i had gone to another surgeon and a different hospital., but they got their money! Looks like disability for the rest of my li... read more
Dr. Mericle has been treating me for an unruptured cerebral aneurysm for the past 16 years. He is thorough and explains everything to myself and my family. I recently underwent surgery to repair the aneurysm. He is the compassionate, kind and cares about his patients. I can't imagine having to see someone else. He gets 5 stars and beyond from me!
