Masterful! 2nd time here after years away. Ought not have delayed so long!
My boyfriend and I randomly stumbled upon this gem and we enjoyed our time very much. The food was so flavorful and we will definitely be coming back to support as they change their menu seasonally! Also, shoutout to Kenji and David! Thank you for making our first time here memorable.
I had a great first experience with a group of friends last night at Robataya Oton. Everything I ordered was delicious and unique. I was in awe of Chef Daniel’s hand roll that was full of flavor. I enjoyed every part of this experience and hope to come back soon.
Last night was my first time having omakase. The chef is a true artist and every dish was astonishing. I’ve been to a lot of sushi restaurants in SD, I can honestly say this is hands down the best premium seafood I’ve tasted. I never had scallops so tender before and the last dish - the toro belly was the icing on the cake. The atmosphere, amazing customer service and fresh cut seafood will have me back here again really soon.
My wife and I went here with an open mind after reading recent reviews, but we left disappointed. After having Robataya Oton on our ‘want to go’ list for years, we saw that management has changed and the prices are much higher. Atmosphere Good.
