Everything was done to perfection. The barista measured by weight, spritzed the beans, timed the pour, and perfectly delivered my latte. That level of attention to detail is incredibly rare! You gotta try it.
Was super excited to stop in! Clean, bright shop. Large selection of coffee. Pastery items weren't quite defrosted yet-that was OK...although I'd have loved a chocolate croissant. I could have ordered toast(buttered or avocado) but passed. I did order a hot chocolate and a lavender honey latte. The coffee : perfect flavor and temp. Stumbled upon this place on a roadtrip and it was the best pit stop. The mocha was rich and smooth, and the cinnamon bun muffins were delicious!
We spend a lot of time in Lexington with a couple of kids at W&L, and there are a few coffee shops in addition to the Starbucks...but we drove by Roadmap on the way to our AirBnB and decided to stop. Latte and a bagel - and the bagel was NOT a New York City bagel, but I paid a NY/San Fran/LA price for this little excursion. Insane prices, even for the Lexington "college parent mark-up" norm!
