As a single independent coffee store started in 1981 few people knew what gourmet coffee was or what it had to offer. There was no such thing as Kenya, Kona, French Roast, Mocha-Java or any other coffee by that name. The commercial brands that came in a can, that was all the coffee drinking public knew. Whole beans, and grinding the coffee at home, had no place in the kitchen. It took time to show people what a good cup coffee could really be. Excellent Ambience The atmosphere of this coffee shop blows Starbucks and others out of the water. It is nearly all windows, so you get fresh sunlight and a view of the world outside. The coffee itself is freshly ground and is well priced. They also offer smoothies, which are bit expensive but worth it.
Local Treasure It is a great neighborhood coffee shop. The coffee is very good. The uniqueness of the place is the art and craft display for sale. It has a great variety of artists that sell their art. They support local artists. The owners greet every customer like an old friend, you always feel welcome
Great coffee I used to go to this place all the time in high school. They have really good coffee and is a pretty cool place. They have lots of pottery on display and for sale. Its a great place to talk with friends.
Fantastic coffee, food and atmosphere . . . a home away from home!
Best most awesome coffee spot I've ever been too. And you can get jewelry and art there as well, or just chill to the environment. Super cool Shop owners!
Nice place, kind people and a real European feel :)
A friend of mine recommended this place to me. I am From the San Diego area so was looking for a coffee place that wasn't a Starbucks! Absolutely loved the coffee and the owners!! So much so I bought two pounds of coffee beans! One to keep and one to give to my friend! The beans are roasted on site! Why wouldn't you go try this place out! I'll be buying online from them now that I'm back home in SD!
