These people are full of crap – I ve done some homework on this place. They do some pretty underhanded stuff. They claim not to have any money and have the money cut but public records show over 3 million dollars. What a waste of tax money to call a plce like that and have someonoe lie to you and say were sorry but we just dont have the funding to hire people to take on any more cases right now. Great Place – Helped someone from my Church Get a scooter for free when they became disabled. For the other reviews... you have to remember they are for information and referrel. They will show you the way but it is up to the person with the disability to follow through as that is what the whole independent living movement is about. They also pay do payroll for over 400 attendents for people that have disabilites that are employeed by the person with the disability. These people have no clue how to help the disabled – I know six different people that have called this center this year for help and got nothing. They were told that there is no money to hire any workers to serve the disabled. But their website shows tons of employees and a huge amount of directors. What do they do all day if they can't help those who call for help? They get money from the government to help the disabled but do not do anything to help them. What a fraud! – Don't bother contacting this place to get any help. If you don't live right in Williamsport, they won't bother to help you unless they get paid to do it. I called there to get help for my daughter and left six messages with no return phone calls. Then, another friend of mine who lives in their service area did the same thing with nothing ever done to help them. This place is in it for the money and not to actually help anyone.
