We found this place by accident the first time we were out driving through Bastrop. It was so delicious we drove from New Braunfels to eat there again!

Came here several years ago when passing through Bastrop and nothing has changed... still the best dang burgers and great atmosphere.

Changed things up a bit and ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Nice heat, juicy chicken, tons of blue cheese....yummy! Husband got the Roadhouse Chef with grilled chicken and blue cheese dressing...huge salad, great flavors, always fresh.
My husband got the classic cheeseburger and an amazing chocolate malt. I got the Swiss mushroom burger. Both burgers rated with some of the best we've ever eaten and we consider ourselves "burger connoisseurs." (My husband's family owned Smitty's in Houston back in the 60s, famous for their $.50 burgers). Our waitress was a sweetheart and I wish I could remember her name. But what stole my heart was their sign on the door that stated their patio is pet friendly so "please don't leave your pet in the car."
