have new diagnosis from specialists NEUROLOGIST AND PHYSICAL THERAPIST. Conviva primary doctor Michael S Coleman disputes it. Peroneal palsy and CLONUS. It is a shaking foot, ankle and leg with wild movements and with a foot turning inward, and on its side also foot dragging and dropping . They dropped my insurance without telling me. Had complete bloodwork done. I looked up the labs. There were several red flags he did not inform me of. Also prescribes medications without checking interactions, in particular liver, blood sugar, kidney function. He is lazy.
Dr. Lakin may just be the best doctor in Broward county. Rare that you wait more than fifteen minutes. He goes over everything about your condition and answers all your questions. He obviously enjoys what he does and has a sense of humor. He is easy to talk to and converses in plain English, not medical speak unless it is necessary.
Dr. Lakin has been my primary for the last ten years. He is easy to talk to and goes over everything with you each visit. He cares about his patients and what he does. His group, Conviva, has some issues in staffing retention and patient interaction. Michelle and Luv are the best in front of the office. I know none of the names in the back as they are reticent about giving them.
He refused to delve into a physical complaint to find root cause for proper diagnosis and treatment. I am a HC provider, myself. I know the routine. His reasons for doing nothing were wrong. I did the research to validate my opinions. I wouldn't recommend him for anything.
He’s a wonderful doctor and he had all my family and I wish she would not retire. If he come back I will be back with him.

Dr. Velasquez is awesome. He has been my primary doctor for over 2 years. He always has a great demeanor, takes his time listening to his patients & shows concern and compassion - something very rare in today's medical profession. I would highly recommend him to anyone!
After reading reviews I would never go see this doctor if the staff is as bad as the reviews state. No Doctor is good enough if the staff stinks. If a staff is real bad it doesn't matter how good the doctor is if they are unable to do the job correctly.
