This was a Test Drive at a Pop Up. My family and I had the opportunity to test The 2026 R1S 7 seater. Here’s the thing about it being classified as a 7 seater vehicle. It’s not! The third row seating area is virtually inaccessible to anyone, not even a child can use it. The seat is flush with the floor so you have no space for your legs and your feet to go. I would give zero stars if possible. I had Rivian Mobile service appt on Tuesday. I waited 5 hours & they never showed up. Also, never contacted me or replied to my messages on App. Called service department & I was told someone would call me right back….That never happened either!
Worst service experience ever. For a very expensive car you would think they would give you the courtesy of at least keeping you informed of progress. With my old VW they would keep you informed as you went along. Some of my experiences here: shortly after receiving brand new vehicle the 12V battery failed and I had to bring it for service in Nov 2024. Positive shopping / sales person experience. I had been shopping for a variety of potential EV cars when out of curiosity we went to look at the Rivian R1T truck for my daughter. We met with Jack the sales person that was on the lot at the time (even though sales representatives were just wrapping up for the day). He was incredibly informative, supportive, enabled a very easy process for a test drive and ultimately provided a low pressure, highly informative shopping experience.
