DO NOT SEND OR LET A HOSPITAL SEND YOUR CHILDREN OR ANYONE HERE. THEY ARE ABUSIVE, THEY WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO GET A FULL NIGHTS SLEEP, THEY SCREAM AT PEOPLE WHO ARE SUFFERING AND THREATEN TO SEND PEOPLE TO HARSHER LEVELS AS PUNISHMENT IF YOU STAND UP FOR YOURSELF OR TALK ABOUT THE ABUSE ON THE PHONE WITH YOUR FAMILY. A male nurse here made me so uncomfortable.
Stayed in the legacy unit. Honestly wasn’t bad just had a really bad situation turn into a really bad day. This was back in 2019 the counselor was great the doctor as well. Legacy unit gets to go to brekky first so food was fresh for us. Coffee sucked but not knocking a star for that. Relaxed environment allowed me to come out of the dark and actually get better.
In short, this was as bad as in the movies. In my brief stay at Riverwoods in October 2019, the floors were literally soaked in urine, there was no soap in the bathrooms, no laundry service, the orderlies were verbally abusive, and the nursing staff literally provoked patient after patient into an agitated state allowing them to chemically restrain whomever they wanted.
