Friday night fish fry is great. We did wait for a table but that just tells me the food is good. If there isn't a waiting line, then obviously the food isn't good enough to wait for. The food is definitely good enough to wait for! We went into the bar to have a drink and our table was ready in 15 minutes! Bartender was polite, informative and friendly. Food is great..been there at lunch, dinner and late night. Daytime bartender not so friendly, night time girls on Friday and Saturday are very friendly. My first time was a Friday evening and the bartender introduced me to all the locals and gave me some pointers on the Algonquin area. This is our absolute favorite restaurant. We have been going to The Riverview for over 15 years & we are never disappointed. They also have a great catering menu for our parties at home. Definite thumbs up!

I love pizza and The Riverview is the BEST!!!! This is the ONLY place to order pizza around Algonquin & Lake in the Hills. I know people who drive for miles to get a Riverview pizza
We have yet to find a restaurant with ribs that compare to The Riverview's. We have compared it to Carsons & The Gale Street Inn. The Riverview's ribs are better than any we have tried. Their ribs a meaty, tender and just about fall off of the bones. Their sauce is exceptional. This is a definite place to go if you really like baby back ribs.
Best food, great prices, friendly staff.
I ordered from the Riverview for a 50th birthday party. Everyone loved the food. The service was great. They even made a few dishes that we wanted that were not even on their regular catering menu. We will definately order from here again.
