I am presently living in riverview manor. Where do I start on dissatisfaction? 1) cock roaches!! 2) constant rattling pipes! Shower and you’ll rattle the tub. 3) constant calls & door knocks to “fumigate” my apartment even though I’ve asked for alternatives. Lung issues. I refuse the chemicals. 4) The garbage bins looks like an actual city dump with nasty old furniture. 5) weekly laundry room floods. My lease is up May with a hike of $45/month. I am currently looking for a new place. Do Not Rent Here!
Several perks of living here include a nice view and close proximity to downtown and the university. The building management is generally quite competent as well. However, there are also notable downsides. For instance, many residents are heavy smokers, and after a long day, you’ll often be greeted by various cigarette odors in the hallways. The staff are fantastic, great customer service and l have such a beautiful view of the bridge and amazing location, love the fact that l am not too far from a bus stop. 😀 I would recommend the River Manor location to my friends anyday!
Within 4 years of living here, I’ve encountered COCKROACHES, swarms of pigeon, uncleanly elevators, and maintenance people that you physically have to track down yourself in person to get your basic needs met. Car window was broken while paying $60 a month for parking- no security. I couldn’t file a police report because Boardwalk refused to give me the footage ( my car was directly in front of the camera… convenient ) There’s no electricity in most bathrooms, One of the bathrooms the light has to be on for electricity, bath... read more
I moved in July. The person I was dealing with for months moved unexpectedly. Nobody replaced him until a month later. During this one month period there has been NO sense of order. Maintenance calls are handled unprofessionally, the building is dirty at times including dog pee in the elevator and there is no security present to oversee the day to day events. On the other hand, the other buildings appear to have all of these things. So if you choose to stay at Riverview, accept that you are staying at the bottom of the pile.... read more
