Great! I have been going to Riverview Inn since I was a kid, and I actually can't believe all the snobby reviews people put up here. If you know anything about southern food or atmosphere then this place is perfect. I'm no redneck but I can still appreciate the relaxed, at-home, atmosphere. This place was never meant to be "fine dining," just a casual family place. The staff even greets you like family, and not like strangers (and I'm not known as a regular either). haven't been there in many years but when my children were small we went every Friday night and those were some of the best memories and the best angry and the best fish ever just a really good time
It was an every weekend family event. I miss those days and I miss Riverview Inn.
I first came to this fish camp in the early 50's. Several of us guys ate here the night we graduated from East Mecklenburg High School in June of 1955. We loved the food. I have not lived in the area since then but just moved back and can't wait to visit again. I hope it hasen't changed a bit. I don't remember if there were paper plates or plastic utensils back in the 50's, but you don't go to a fish camp and expect to eat on fine china. Get real!!! Awful experience, incredibly rude owner/manager all while he sits sipping his beer. There is a professional way to confront an issue that you may have. Will not return.
