I had a major surgery on 3/2/26 My Surgeon Dr Schursky was phenomenal. The check in desk was kind and knowledgeable. The pre op nurses was amazing. The OR staff was amazing. I had to stay a few nights so that was a totally different experience. The night shift nurses and Aides are not prompt and makes you feel as if you're an inconvenience. Walter reed needs to listen to the patients. Especially if there requesting to transfer to a different hospital. Do better.
Missed a sepsis diagnosis for a family member receiving TPN. Returned three days later because of even higher fever. Was brought in by ambulance and left in waiting room. I took them out AMA and drove her to Saint Mary’s where they were immediately hospitalized. If it might be something serious, and you can take chances on driving, or if your best chance relies on driving, do go to a larger hospital center with more experience. They will not recognize and transport you the way they should.
