For 132 years she opened her doors to anyone that chose to cross the threshold and enter. Once inside she was forever in your heart. Grandeur and beauty enticed you in. History and nostalgia kept you returning. Family, friends, and laughter was her goal. Here's to 132 years history, nostalgia, and wonderful times! I grew up in and lived just a few houses away from this beautiful place. It deeply saddens my soul that this tragedy has taken this awesome treasure away from everyone that loved and made memories there..
I spent a night there many years ago, before I found out it was haunted. I saw the episode of Ghost Hunters where TAPS investigated there. I was looking forward to returning for another stay while attending a nearby musical event, & possibly doing some paranormal investigating of my own. Hopefully there was fire insurance & the blueprints still exist, in case someone decides to rebuild it....
This has always been one of my favorite places to visit back home!! So devastating is the loss of this amazing venue. �
I will cherish the memories. We had our high school prom there, college fraternity formals, and many weddings. Beautiful venue.
