Store is small, clutter, and messy...kind of expected it as other reviews suggested. The lady that tried to help was condescending. Fresh water fish selection was disappointing. Don't waste your time here since you can find the same fish and more from Petco or PetSmart. This doesn't bode well for a LFS. We will miss you guys. It pains my heart to see you go. You’ve always been helpful. Gentrification is killing Austin.
It's no wonder this place is closing. Disorganized, dirty, and sad. Some going-out-of-business discounts might help get rid of some inventory, but everything is still full price (mostly above retail price of other stores)
It's a locally owned pet store with friendly knowledgeable staff. I'm always,surprised at just how knowledgeable staff is when it comes to fish. Love the birds and love Rivers and Reefs is not another Big Box store. Its an Austin store. And its closing . Another local business forced out by huge rent increases. Austin is just another mecca for the upper middle class and the well to do.
