I would do business elsewhere if I were you. This credit union has to be the worst I have ever seen or dealt with. I am a member of several credit unions and the way my wife and I have been treated by this one is nothing short of shocking. Over a year ago our truck was stolen in a consignment scam. This review is not directly for any specific location, but their security team in general. I am now only allowed 2 typos before they lockout my account. So I call in and it doesn't end there. It is not enough I verify my social security number and address and member number. Since the merger, the bank has really gone downhill. As a long-time customer of Advantis since 2008, I have generally had positive experiences with their service and online platform. However, post-merger, the quality of service has definitely deteriorated. This Sandy location is exceptionally bad, with an awkward layout and an experience that involves speaking to an online customer service representative while the employee working on the floor stands next to you and provides instructions. This is a complete dystopia for customers and workers alike. Nothing but video atms and a poor concierge whose job it is to tell you to get in line, and that you are not allowed to do your business with either of the two humans employees available in offices. I feel absolutely terrible for the people working here and I won’t be back.
The merger with Advantis has been bumpy, but this credit union has always come through for me with real people helping me through every issue I’ve come across. I deeply appreciate all the prompt fraud alerts and quick resolutions. I always feel that they are on my side to protect my money, even when I only have a measly $123 in my account. Shout out to Rae for turning a weird fraud scare into a whimsical and fun bank visit (twice).
