We have always loved the River Grille for many years however tonight after waiting 25 minutes to be seated we waited 45 minutes for our food after ordering it. We asked for bread once the meal was served but never got it. Our server said he was waiting for it to bake. After 25 minutes and having eaten the rest of our food we just asked him for our check. We never got the bread. I must say the food we ordered was very good. I am sorry the speed of service was very disappointing on this visit.
We've been coming here for years and always loved it. Sorry to see the menu change. We had a party of 16 tonight. I'd say that 75% of us were not happy with our meals. My meal was very poorly seasoned even though the server's description of the Chef's Potatoes and the Chef's Vegetables sounded amazing. We have a rental house here and I'll be removing River Grille from our list of favorites.
Excellent meal, shrimp Po' Boy was delicious!!
Enjoyed the food - Our server, Jacqui was super friendly and the hush puppies were yummy.

We were there in early September & were very disappointed. The menu had changed a lot. Higher prices and less food on you platter. The waiter claimed that they made the food more tasty, but my husband & I did not feel it tasted even as good as it had in the past. We had always gone to this restaurant a few time when we vacationed in Daytona but after our last visit we will skip this restaurant next year.
Until today, I gave this restaurant an EXCELLENT review. Today, we ate here, No more red bliss potatoes which was our FAVORITE (was told they will have them featured sometimes, but with no regularity). Also when our food came, instead of being served on a plate as it normally had been, it came out in a "wire" basket with a disposable paper liner...how do you cut a piece of fish on this??? Beautiful view, great food and service . Always a must stop when we are in Ormand Beach!
Nothing special. Food ok, service ok,, just nothing to write home about... ate last night at another resturant in Daytona Beach and the experience was superb. ... quanty/ size of portions better and cost less...
