This hospital ER has broken my confidence in our Oregon health system and I will never go back again. 6 hour wait to have them prescribe oxy for pain management and sent me away without figuring out what's causing the pain or anything. Also in the 6 hours I waited not once did anyone sanitize a seat or clean anything in the waiting room, homeless are sleeping on the chairs and using it for a place to rest at night.
The cardiovascular unit at this hospital has no working knowledge or appreciation for the importance of aftercare planning. They conducted zero discharge planning despite several attempts by family over a 24 day treatment episode, provided zero referrals despite requests by family for a stepdown to an assisted nursing facility. They also provided zero PCP or home health referrals despite their providers stating both would be required for post-discharge wound care. What is the point of appointment times if you have to wait for over an hour to be seen? This hospital is inefficient and lackadaisical.
Today I was honored to have Arielle J. Perez MD and her wonderful staff perform a flawless surgery on me. The entire process from the initial consultation to recovery was exceptional. There is no way to describe this experience other than perfection.
