I've been here since 2004. The quality of maintenance has declined substantially. They are trying to get shareholders to increase their responsibility for repairs. If Riverbay does a repair, and I do mean if, it will be subpar. It will be a cheap bandaid fix. The history of this place is of crooked management and misappropriation of funds. Nothing has changed. It's gotten much worse. I feel sorry for the elderly who can't afford to leave. Mold and mildew is everywhere. This is a case of The mighty have fallen.
Do not buy in Co-op city This resident has numerous water leaks / I have a leak in my bathroom every year in the same spot. The one I have now they are unable to fix until Sunday so its been leaking for 7 Days. The leak is coming from another apt. I also had a leak in my Livingroom which went under the wood floors this cannot be fixed until November Do not invest your money here I am a 73 year old 30 year Veteran and this is how they treat me

Do something about noisy neighbors!!! Don't Treat people bias and be judgmental without knowing facts!! It's not fair, we are human beings and deserve the same rights as all shareholders. That's why we signed the occupancy agreement. There should be whistle blowers for people with anti social behavior which affects other people's lives. Remember Jesus commanded "And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise" Luke 6:31.
Let us have a different cable company besides optimum.
Incredible community. Clean, beautiful grounds and open air parks, affordable, large apartments and so many services make Co-op City the place to live!
I have lived here since 1985, and it just continues to decline. They aren't on top of anything anymore. You make appts for restoration, and no one ever shows. Us shareholders pay our maintenance fees on time, only to be treated as such is disgusting. Would never recommend this place, not even to my worst enemy.
Better security better attended Kiosk.
