I had cataract surgery last July and everything was great. I was told before surgery what I would need to pay and it was several thousand dollars due to a lens insurance wouldn’t cover. At the end of the year I got a bill for around $200. When I called the billing person just said insurance didn’t cover that. They then turned me over for collection. I was not called to come in and get my mom when she was done with per procedure as I was told I would be; so, she was left in the waiting room for over half-an-hour until I came in thinking a complication happened. Not only was I told I would be called when she was done but she asked them to call me as well and they did not.

I recently had cataract removal at River Point Surgery Center in Lakewood, Colorado. My surgeon was Dr Richheimer and I believe he’s not only a genius and the best surgeon ever, he is also great with people and has you forgetting any anxiety you may have. I highly recommend Dr Richheimer and River Point Surgery Center LLC. I had my day after checkup with my eye doctor today, and he said my eye looked like it usually would look the week after surgery, instead of the day after surgery. I loved my experience here, the staff and doctors are amazing! I couldn’t have asked for a better team to care for me during my surgery. 10/10 would recommend!!

This place made for a really terrible experience. Very little regard for their patient’s time - a family member was scheduled and was not seen for a full 90 minutes with no explanation or update other than ‘this is what the schedule is’. If your family member is elderly or cannot comfortably sit for long periods of time, I would seriously consider contacting any of the numerous other providers of cataract surgery out there. With many options, there is no reason to risk getting stuck in this place with your loved one.
