This happened about 2 and a half years ago, but I’m just now finding a place to share my review. AVOID THIS SHOP. I took my 03 Ford Focus in to get the clutch changed, that’s it. Simple clutch change. I got my car back a bit late after they closed, (no big deal), and when I started it up, I had a dashboard full of flashing lights. Scott was a huge help. He negotiated with our warranty company to get us a new transmission (the warranty people wanted to swap ours out with one that had 160k miles on it). They installed the new transmission quickly and got the van back to me in time for me to work on the weekend, like I'd requested. Awesome service and great work, highly recommended!
I had a great experience. Good communication and the price was a lot cheaper than I thought it would be.
I took my 4l60e to Scott and he got it back to me very quick and for decent price. well a month later the thing was leaking everywhere while I was on a long trip he told me to keep buying transmission fluid and drive it home.... 2 gallons later (with no reimbursement) when I got it to his shop he fixed it and told me it was a defective part. what kind of parts is he using if they are going to be defective? I started having problems with my jettas transmission I looked several shops around to get a diagnostic quotes and they want to charge me around 3200 and 4000 to rebuild my transmission and 3000 to replace it with a used one. I called river city transmission and talked to Scott, he told me to go take it to get a diagnostic and his diagnostic and quote was a lot cheaper then other transmission shops around.
