The food is great and the staff is very friendly. Love their seafood gumbo but all the food is delicious.
I just left this restaurant where I had my birthday dinner. While the food was good, the service was terrible. The hostess went to sit us at a booth. I set down my two year old son and went to sit down next to him. The booth broke and both of us fell. The table next to us informed us that the booth was already broken before we arrived and when the hostess had tried to seat them there they asked to move elsewhere. EVERYTHING at River City is good! Atmosphere is nice, very nice bar area w good happy hour drink deals , too.
My husband and I happened on River City Seafood & Grill when we were in town for a wedding. My husband is from Louisiana and was so excited to find the thin, crispy catfish on the menu. We also really enjoyed the crab/corn bisque and the clam chowder. We'll definitely go back the next time we're in San Antonio and look forward to trying more items from the menu. Excellent food and service!
