Just stopping in to say these reviews are hilarious. The owner needs to both get their shit together and stop fighting with tenants over google reviews. There is no doubt in my mind that these tenants are telling the truth.
River City Rentals is the worst rental company I have worked with in 15 years of renting. The are unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. I traveled hundreds of miles for showings that I was told I was accepted for. I confirmed these showings and acceptance multiple times. They cancelled on me via text an hour before my showings and never responded to my inquiries following. RCR's response below about calling me is a lie. After 2 and half years of renting from them, I can say that this is the worst rental company I have dealt with. The major issues I ran into is thay they false advertise their units (my unit was advertised with a working fireplace, and after I moved in I received noticed that I couldn't use it), they blame their tenants for their own problems (trying to blame me and fine me for them not sending out paperwork for me to sign), they promise things that never happen (they ripped out all the nice trees and brush from the yard, pro... read more
Moved into a disgusting apartment with cigarette butts everywhere and wires hanging out of the wall. I had to clean it up myself. Repairman constantly tried to say nothing needed to be fixed or it took forever to get repairs. Fast forward two years of living there, moved out because of a rent increase when there was nothing about the place worth increasing the rent for. They definitely charge way too much for monthly rent for what you get. However, I needed a to find somewhere to live pretty quickly and was willing to settle for whatever. If you are looking for property managers who take initiative, have good communication, and care about their tenants this is not the company for you. During winter they also never plowed our driveway, which was pretty inconvenient.
