River city management group in San Antonio was horrible to deal with regarding repairs on a house we rented. Even though we followed their procedures in requests for maintenance some were ignored and closed without resolving. Staff is rude and unprofessional. Says something will get done and then it doesn’t happen. If you see a property that you want to rent is managed by this group RUN the other way. I have never been treated so poorly by a business. If you're looking for a property manager, you're better off using your ne'er-do-well cousin. Just about as reliable and responsive and more likely to stop by your house.
Renter beware. I needed to move because of a job change and break my lease early. My contract clearly stated that I would be responsible for rent until my lease date, unless the home was able to be rented. The agent at River City then added that I’d be required to pay a months rent as the fee for the agent to rent the home. I explained that this was nowhere in the contract- her response was that she was doing me a courtesy. NIGHTMARES WITH RIVER CITY MANAGEMENT! My girlfriend recently rented a property at 137 Schreiner Place through River City Management in San Antonio and had a terrible experience. Here's why we wouldn't recommend them: * UNLIVABLE CONDITIONS: The biggest issue was a vermin infestation in the walls. I can’t possibly give enough positive feedback about RCMG. They have taken complete ownership over our rental property, maintain a fantastic team of subcontractors to handle any issues that arise, and are completely transparent on costs. If I had to narrow down one factor for selecting a property management company, it would be trustworthiness. Al Shacklett and the River City team exude that in spades. Sincerely appreciate their partnership, and would highly recommend their services.
