I had the blackened redfish and my friend had filet mignon and both were very good. Will dine there again!

We had lunch today and LOVED our food! We had planned on the French Dip we saw in pictures, but once seated we ordered from the Blue Plate menu. Boy, was it DELICIOUS!! I had the hamburger steak and gravy with green beans, mashed potatoes, and deviled eggs!! SUPERB!! I'm a discerning Southern girl who loves to cook homemade fare and I wouldn't change a thing. Food was good, service very slow. Probably the first and last time we'll eat there.
We had lunch recently at River City Grill and it was a disappointment. The food was fine, but nothing to write home about. Our waiter was nice and efficient, but the problem was the atmosphere. The staff was most unwelcoming and for a minute I began to wonder if the restaurant was actually open. There was a group of female staff members huddled at the bar engaging in small town gossip and it felt like we had inconvenienced them. It was cold and unfriendly, not at all what I expected. Doubtful that I will return.
