This is the only place in Austin I'll shop for live fish.
Great selection of marine and freshwater fish/inverts/plants, wonderfully knowledgeable and helpful staff, and a well-stocked dry-goods section makes this, hands down, the best place on the north side of town for all of your aquarium needs.
River City goes above and beyond for their customers. I've purchaed everything from a custom aquarium to coral & fish fish and dry goods from them. Every time I walk into the store I know I'll get friendly and knowledgeable service to help me. If you are an experienced reefer or just getting started in the aquarium hobby these guys will be able to help you with whatever you need.
I love love love this fish store! My lion head they ordered for me is perfect and I'm in love with it! They have the best prices in town and seem very genuine in their advice. I highly recommend this store to salt and freshwater fish keepers. My boyfriend's live rock he got here is amazing.
I have been a customer of Jake's (the owner) for over 10 years now. Very committed to him and his staff. He is knowledgable and wonderful to deal with. He has also been so fair I've watched him go above and beyond for his customers. I once lost a store credit that he gave me, and he believed me and honored a new one.
